Nestled in the heart of Camp Verde, Bullpen Grill and Watering Hole offers an inviting blend of classic American bar & grill fare with a Southwestern twist, making it a must-visit destination for both locals and travelers passing through. This vibrant restaurant masterfully balances hearty, satisfying dishes with an atmosphere that reflects the rugged charm of cowboy country, enhanced by tasteful woodwork and copper accents that create an authentic yet comfortable space.
The menu is an artful showcase of robust flavors and quality ingredients. Food lovers will find themselves irresistibly drawn to the diverse selection of burgers crafted from 8oz Angus beef patties. The Classic Cheeseburger is a timeless favorite, featuring juicy beef paired with crisp lettuce, ripe tomato, onions, and melty white cheddar, all nestled in a buttery brioche bun. For those seeking a smoky, savory experience, the Bullpen Burger layers applewood-smoked bacon, tangy BBQ sauce, crispy onions, and smoked Gouda, delivering a complex, deeply satisfying bite. If you crave a bit of heat and Southwestern flair, the Southwest Burger packs a punch with Hatch green chile, chipotle aioli, and sharp white cheddar, resulting in a burger that’s as bold as it is balanced.
For guests wanting a lighter yet equally vibrant option, the salad offerings do not disappoint. The House Salad bursts with fresh mixed greens, baby heirloom tomatoes, and crunchy cucumbers, dressed with a subtly sweet white balsamic. The indulgent Wedge Salad, complete with buttery lettuce, crisp bacon lardons, and bleu cheese dressing, is a perfect harmony of creamy and crunchy textures.
Complimenting the savory courses, the dessert menu provides a decadent conclusion to your meal. Indulgent options like the Banana Pudding Tiramisu or the rich, house-made cheesecake offer the perfect balance of creamy and sweet to satisfy any sweet tooth.
The dining experience at Bullpen Grill goes beyond the plate. Frequent diners praise the welcoming and attentive service, particularly highlighting server Will for his warm hospitality that truly makes guests feel at home. Whether you're there for a casual lunch or a lively dinner accompanied by live country music, such as performances by the talented Forrest Cooley, the atmosphere buzzes with friendly energy and authentic charm. Though the open layout unites the bar and dining spaces — making for a lively and occasionally boisterous ambiance — it perfectly complements the venue’s social and relaxed vibe.
Parking can be a bit tight, but that’s a small tradeoff for the consistently enjoyable food and welcoming environment. Those craving a well-crafted drink will appreciate the creative cocktails like the refreshing Watermelon Mojito Mule, expertly adapted to personal tastes. And to the discerning palate, the care put into frying with tallow instead of seed oils highlights the kitchen’s dedication to quality and flavor.
Bullpen Grill and Watering Hole truly captures the spirit of Arizona’s Southwest with culinary delights that celebrate regional flavors and a convivial ambiance that invites you to linger. Whether you’re fueling up before exploring nearby attractions or just settling in for a memorable meal, this Camp Verde gem leaves a lasting impression — compelling enough to keep guests coming back time and time again.

First time visit, I ordered the pastrami on rye sandwich and the beet salad. Both EXCELLENT! I brought most of the salad home for dinner tonight. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Atmosphere is similar to previous establishments with some nice new embellishments. I'll definitely be back to try the hot chicken wings!

Decent bar/restaurant with cowboy country decorations. The bar is open (no internal walls) and next to dining area which makes for a really loud dining experience. Service was great. Food was delivered fast and hot. Fries are a little basic and they don't have a fry sauce. No salt and pepper on the table as well. Parking is tricky.

Needed to get off the highway when I was making my way up to Sedona. Camp Verde was the first place to pull off which was good for a number of reasons... Stopped in at a few retail stores and the local trading post across the street from the Bullpen then made my way over to this spacious bar & grill for a late lunch. Right away I knew that I was in a great place when I looked at the menu. The bartender/server was very prompt and informative as I asked her for recommendations. Ended up ordering the beet salad along with a grilled salmon that wasn't even on the lunchtime menu. Not sure if I can describe how amazing this meal actually was. The salad was simply a unique & brilliant creation. Then the salmon came out and it was absolutely perfectly cooked and seasoned the way I would do it if I was preparing the fish in my own kitchen. To make the experience even better, I was served with the house special margarita. Honestly, I tried to find something to be harshly critical about in the Bullpen Grill but it was a futile task. So unexpected to find this gem of a place in a quiet little place close to Sedona and not really a popular tourist destination. Bottom Line: 9.7 out of 10

What a great joint. Looks like a dive bar from the outside, has some great woodwork and copper duct work on the inside with a very good menu. I had New England clam chowder and a portobello grilled cheese with caramelized onions.....heavenly. Our party of 13 was well taken care of by our server, Will, who did a bang up job.

I absolutely love the food and shockingly...my drink was just as good. I had a watermelon mohito mule with vodka instead of the menus rum. Calamari...on point! Crawfish tails... on point! New England clam chowder....on point! And the New York strip and fries ...on point! To the foodies out there, there is a difference in frying with talo...verse seed oils! Yes, I said it! The food taste way better . Shout out to chef Andy and from what i hear, also owner. Don't forget that tasty banana tiramisu One more thanks, our server Nicole was truly amazing I hope and pray that is her name.
